Data table for CV and team slides
View transcript
Hey, in this video I'll talk about data tables and how to use them for CV and team slides. I'll cover three topics, data tables in general. I'll then talk about how you can associate the data table with the list of users on the account. And then I will show you how end users will then modify their personal data in the data tables. Okay, let's look at the data tables in general. For this introduction, I am on the Acme Logistics account, which is a made-up company account for demonstration purposes. And on this account, I have a data table with client cases. So what I'll do now is try to use one of these data tables, build a slide with three cases on. So I pick the slide that I want and then I will be asked to pick the relevant cases. So for example, I can go in and I can filter. I can pick a few specific things in the given filter. I can then go in and reorder the items and click continue. And what the system then does is that it builds the slide using the information from the data table. On the manage end, You find the data tables in the automation tab here. On the data tables. And in this case, you can see the data table with the nine references. You can go in and see what the specific information is. You can go in and modify the rich text descriptions. You can change the logos and add new items, new placeholders and so on. So let's look at how we can then associate the data table with each user in the system. To demonstrate how the data tables is linked to the users in the system, I have two examples here. I have a empty CV info data table that includes information about where people are located, their job titles, their previous experience and so on. And then I have another one called meet the team that is already linked. So when I go into an account and a table is already linked, the toggle here has been turned on. You can also see that the name placeholder and the email placeholder is automatically handled via the system. So it basically takes the name and email information from the existing user system to automatically populate those data areas. For the other table right now, it's just an empty table. There are no information in here. If I want to convert this one into a table that's linked to the particular users, all I need to do is click this button here. If my table already contains information, it's really, really important that you go in and you first export the data in the table because the moment that you synchronize the table with the system, the existing data will be lost. The same goes if you ever want to toggle it the other way, the information will also get lost. So you also want to make sure you export before you play with this setting. Once I click OK, you can see it now creates one automatic item for each person in the account. You can also see that the system has automatically used some of the personal data used by the employees, in this case of SlideHub, to fill out certain placeholders. That's because these placeholders are also used for the email signature feature. Let's have a look at the experience from the end user side. To demonstrate this, I have made myself end user on the SlideHub account. So you'll see now it doesn't say manage account. Down here it says manage profile. If I click manage profile, what you'll see is that there's a new area here called placeholder data. This placeholder data is a summary of all the different personal information that I can manage on my account. So this relies both to email signature data, but you also see a item here for each of the different data tables that is linked to me as a user. You can also see that the system tells me how many items is left to be filled out. So if I want to use the new CV info table here, I can go in, I can say I'm in Denmark, I can fill out my experience. So that gets them saved and populated, the status updates, and this information can then be used automatically inside of the relevant slides. So if you ever want to do a campaign internally to get people to fill out the information, you can take this particular URL link and then send it directly to them, which will take them to this page and give them a simple way for them to fill, update, and maintain the CV information. I hope this quick introduction to data tables and CVs is helpful. As always, feel free to reach out to the team if you want to have a further deep dive or have any questions. Thanks a ton for your time. Take care.
